Compositing and Sound

Over the weekend, we worked hard to get our project to the point where it could be presented and critiqued one last time before the final due date. The last time we presented to the mentors, we failed to communicate the many difficulties we encountered throughout our timeline that even led to a leadership change around midterms. This time around, we went into detail about how our concept has had to change to accommodate the looming deadline, and received critique mainly regarding color and lighting.
In preparation for our presentation, I also spent some time working on the sound design. Although we did recruit Sav to help us with sound a few weeks ago, she only agreed to write the music, which I had not received a draft for yet. As a result, the sound work fell to me, as the only remaining person on the team with some form of sound design experience.

Current Progress

A final test composition of my scene, with the doubled shadows fixed and more in-depth color grading than before.
One of the cuts put together over the weekend using the team's current progress. Ella also made her own cut, which we were told to use instead. However, this cut contains the closest rendition to our final sound design.

Upcoming Work

This weekend is the final stretch, and due to our constantly shifting timeline, will require the greatest amount of work by far. All team members will be finalizing their individual shots, but since I have less work compared to everyone else I will also have to continue working on sound and assisting with anything else deemed necessary. Due to our compositor having a history of procrastination and rushed work, it's also highly likely that I will need to take on a heavy workload in that department as well.
Aside from my own shot and updating the sound cut, my most time-consuming task for the weekend will be setting up a scene for camera projection of the fake shot of the store we will be using.
